About

Ayoade Balogun is a queer Nigerian-American artist, writer, and environmental communicator.

Ayoade holds Bachelors degrees in Environmental Engineering and African and African American Studies, and a Masters degree in Environmental Communication. Their interests in Environmental Justice and the arts have taken them to internships and curatorial fellowships at the National Museum of African American History and Culture and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, and an artist residency at Instituto Sacatar in Bahia, Brazil.

Currently,  Ayoade is the Artist in Residence at Earthseed Farm in Sonoma County, California, a working orchard and educational farm dedicated to reconnecting Black folks with land and nature.

She aspires to carry on old and new ways of storytelling and dream-weaving inherited from their ancestors and learned from their friends and teachers.
